Services

We multiply the impact of our partners through three types of support: Organisational Development for peacebuilding champions, developing capacity for Conflict Sensitivity, and supporting Business Engagement to mitigate risks and develop solutions that contribute to peacebuilding. Each process is tailored to our partner and often includes a mix of elements from different service areas. All our services are designed to develop:

  • Leadership: Our participatory processes strengthen leadership in different parts of an organisation. We complement our organisational support with individual coaching and support to peer-learning initiatives that connect change champions and build communities of practice. All services are aligned with our commitment to locally-led peacebuilding.

  • Sustainable organisational change: We take a long-term approach to organisational change. We help our partners to set priorities and align resources behind them, through an incremental process. Each phase involves ‘learning by doing’ with opportunities for reflection, and each phase generates momentum for deeper organisational integration.

  • Adaptive management: As our partners work in complex contexts, we support them to navigate complexity and strengthen their resilience. Our organisational support and collective initiatives empower practitioners to make sense of context changes, identify risks and opportunities, experiment and adapt based on feedback on what is working.

How we select partners:

We select civil society partners through calls for proposals. Programme staff are responsible for exploring new partnerships with international organisations, governments or companies. All partnerships are approved by our Governing Board.

Organisational Development

Our organisational development (OD) support is for civil society, governmental or international organisations with peacebuilding at the core of their mandate. We help them strengthen their impact, adapt to changing realities and build long-term sustainability.

Conflict Sensitivity

Our Conflict Sensitivity (CS) support is for civil society, governmental or international organisations that have a humanitarian, development or environmental protection mandate and operate in conflict-affected or polarized contexts. We help our partners strengthen their organisational and operational practices to adapt to context, minimise risks of fueling violence and contribute to peaceful change.

Business Engagement

Our Business Engagement (BE), at the international level, involves companies and investors deploying capital or operating in conflict-affected and high-risk areas (CAHRA). Within our focus regions, we partner with civil society organisations that convene dialogue between businesses, communities, and governments. All our business engagements aim to strengthen business practices to increase their contribution to social cohesion and reduce risks of doing harm and fueling conflict.
